"Pilton Girl" - A digital story
This is EVOC 150's first digital story. Using only our digitised archive photographs we assembled a little piece of protesting history in Edinburgh. This photo speaks more than 1000 words for Pilton and what community action can do.
"Sahar saves the world" - A digital story
EVOC 150 created this digital story by using almost exclusively digitised archive photographs. Hear more about Sahar's journey from Iran and how she decided to save the world from itself.
Archive and Film workshop with the Media Education Film Club
For UN World Youth Skills Day 2018, the EVOC 150 team brought archive materials on Dr Elsie Inglis along to the Media Education Friday Film Club. Pioneer in maternal care and prominent suffragist, Dr Elsie Inglis, was a member of EVOC (ECOS back then) and supported mothers and their health care. She still is an inspirational figure for EVOC and celebrated in these two films made by the Film Club:
A Lesson for Elsie: Takes a comic spin on the thinking behind refusing treatment from a female doctor
Elsie Inglis Remembered: Features of the announcement of Elsie’s death and her funeral, attended by royalty.
